Due to our consistent effort, Sunnano has been honored with numerous awards, such as Waste Reduction Excellent Performance Award, the First Enterprise Environmental Preservation Award, Energy Saving Award and the Prevention of Industrial Pollution Award, which are presented from the government and other authoritative third parties.

The global warming and the change of climate have become an important topic of international concern. Sunnano Biotech Inc. has a number of improvements of carbon emission reductions, including purchasing low-emission equipment and greening factory area, which can save approximately 864.9 tons per year, equivalent to 1.73 times Taipei Ta-an Forest Park. |

In 2011, we led the industry to participate Carbon Footprint Program of Taiwan EPA, which is a government plan to encourage the industry to calculate carbon dioxide emission of all aspects to help reduce carbon emissions into the atmosphere. Sunnano Biotech also won the Carbon Footprint Label on our six bubble tea products in October of the same year.

Some of food manufactories manage their plants and factory environment by technical management of spraying pesticide or other chemicals, which can help reduce the workload and cost; however, these chemicals are easily to destroy the environment and ecological balance. Some species such as bees and earthworms are more sensitive to the change of environment which may be disappeared because of the destruction. It may also cause the disintegration of ecological food chain and further damage. |

However, based on our social responsibility of environment, we insist to establish and maintain a green environment by managing all the sods and plants manually rather than by using chemical or technical methods. Sunnano Biotech Inc. has covered with approximately 50 percent green area of total 25 acres of facility space. Because of the efforts we made, we successfully reserve an integrity ecological surrounding, and then to attract numerous creatures as birds and insects to show the biological diversity here.

Our waste water treatment is continuously improved and innovative. The input of manpower, material and financial resources are to spare no effort, in addition, the total investment amount of hardware improvements is approximate $ 60 million and per hour of wastewater treatment capacity is up to 60 tons. We set up the air pollution control and Class B wastewater treatment full-time staff and actively engaged in the plant management and process for waste reduction. |
This makes for many years to maintain a good quality of effluent discharge standards and comply with the requirements of environmental regulations in order to reduce the impact of industrial development on the environment caused.
We have monthly effluent quality inspection by the Quality Assurance Unit of Shanhua headquarter. We also have second inspection regularly by the third commissioned party every year. The test indicators published from the third commissioned party shows, our effluent water quality is good and meet and exceed the requirements of the EPA emissions standards.
Clean water, clean soil, and wide green spaces are successfully constructed by Sunnano Biotech. Inc in the factory. Decomposers, producers, and consumers in the food chains form a wonderful balance, which nearly a hundred kinds of biological develop into a natural cycle. We will continue to work hard in the future, fulfill our social responsibility, implement Eco-business, and achieve the perfect balance among the factory development, environmental protection and ecological balance.
